Quick Wit

I love listening to Pete Buttigieg talk. The guy is just so quick witted and entertaining, as well as being a sincere and lovely person. 

In accord with my last blog which was on Giftedness in the chart, Pete has this. He has Venus and Mercury in Aquarius, often associated with high intelligence. Mercury is trine to Mars, increasing the speed at which he thinks. His Sun Mercury midpoint is Jupiter. Ebertin has this to say: 

An optimistic attitude to life, the urge to enlarge one's horizon and mental focus. A good thinker, orator and organizer Good connections, protection and sponsorship, travel.

Note also the Sun is sextile the Moon Uranus conjunction which adds to the Aquariun flavor of the chart, which is idealistic and open minded. He is talking to the electorate through Fox News, feeling all sides should hear what he has to say, so he is an across the aisle type of person. And they keep asking him back. 

The time I am using is one he gave to a reader at a book signing. This birthtime makes sense for him. Capricorn is quick witted and this gives him Sun and Ascendant in Capricorn. He married a Cancer, the sign on his 7th house of marriage. 

Jupiter would be angular with this birth time, right on the cusp of the 10th house of career. His rise in his career was fast. Pluto has moved back and forth over his Sun, which has been empowering for him (he has a natal aspect) and by February 2025 Pluto will be conjunct his Venus in Aquarius in the 1st house. As the Oxford Astrologer has noted, with the prominent Pluto transit he is likely to be man to watch with a role to play. Natally he has Venus = to Jupiter Pluto in his chart. The Pluto transit will trigger that natal midpoint, which gives him leadership qualities. 

Sun Venus adds to his charm, and Sun Saturn gives him the hard work ethic. Mercury is square to Chiron and he has spoken openly about coming out as gay to his parents and thinking he might never belong. With the Moon in Scorpio the person goes deep. 

He is now the proud parent of three year old twins with his husband, happily belonging and engaging his audience all around.
